Noida International Airport Flight Booking Update
A major update has emerged regarding the Noida International Airport in Greater Noida. Flight ticket booking is expected to begin by May 10, indicating that the airport is nearing operational readiness. In the initial phase, the airport will commence domestic and cargo flight services. Around 17 or fewer cities are expected to be connected in the beginning, providing limited but important connectivity within India. The first flight is likely to operate on June 15, 2026. Airlines are expected to release their flight schedules approximately one month prior to the start of ticket bookings, allowing passengers to plan their travel in advance. The airport has been developed in its first phase across an area of 1334 hectares, which includes the runway, terminal building, and cargo facilities. It is designed to handle approximately 12 million passengers annually in this phase.
As per the master plan, the airport will be expanded in the future to accommodate up to 70 million passengers per year, making it one of the largest airports in India. Passengers will benefit from modern facilities such as face recognition technology, DigiYatra system, fast check-in processes, and advanced security systems, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience. The airport’s IATA code has also started appearing on official platforms, signaling progress toward operational readiness. To improve accessibility, bus services will be introduced from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, and
Uttarakhand, along with taxi and cab services for convenient connectivity.
The project has faced some delays. Initially scheduled for completion by September 29, 2024, the deadline was later extended to April 2025. As per the latest updates, the domestic terminal is expected to be completed by May 15, and the international terminal by June 25. Overall, the Noida International Airport is now close to becoming operational, which is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity, ease travel for passengers, and contribute to economic and infrastructure development in the region.iske pic do
